The cons are that prices are definitely up there now.Some parts of it are close to the water so you want to find out if a property you're looking at is in a flood zone and if so, take into account any higher insurance you'll be paying (talk to your insurance agent).Also, like the "East Side", people tend to use the label "Edgewood" liberally, to try to get higher prices, for properties that are really on the border of, or really outside of, Edgewood proper.So make sure that if you're looking at or paying for an "Edgewood" property, you're not really paying for something that's outside that area (especially the parts that start to head into Providence).
