While the NAR, as I recall, addresses this issue as well.As to it being poor practice, besides it dancing along the violation of any applicable law, issues can arise when one provider is suggested by several Realtors and never includes other providers without good reason.

On vacation or  whenever I am out of town, I just check my messages/email (depending on how the tenants contact me)  like 2-3 times a day and contact my handyman to deal with any issues that may arise while I am on vacation.
