I've only heard this recently in a book I read, and by a closing agent from a title company.

Hi, if my wife becomes a real estate agent in New York (we live in NY) and we buy properties in other states such as Florida or Georgia, can we use segregated deductions on houses we buy outside of New York in order to pay less income taxes from my earnings?

I'm a local central Houston Real estate agent, investor and developer.

My wife Jen (a real estate agent) and I are real estate investors mainly interested in buy and hold single family rentals, as well as flips.

Then home price rising again lol.What will happen for sure is there will be much less activity for real estate just like in 1979 hence the RE company would need to let go their agent.
