Hi, I am actively looking and putting offers for my first rental property, I just saw a townhome that I like from the 70's that needs some rehab, and a few blocks from it there is new development offering same type of units (a bit bigger) 10% more expensive with delivery lead times of 6 months.

This will allow you to compare policies, although, from my experience, most companies offer very similar coverage.As for your 2nd question, 2 things I wish I had learned early on:- Explain the benefits of renter's insurance to all tenants and prospective tenants.

Few companies I got from google search offer free estimates (e.g., US waterproofing, Everdry waterproofing) but they are all swamped with work and I can't get an appointment until mid-June.

I agree that FL is a still a hotbed for investment but I am not sure condos specifically are worth the risk.
