It was a great place in a popular neighborhood and then I had to move back to California so I just kept it there and I am currently renting out here. 

People, real estate investing isn’t a darned popularity contest or social media attention grabber.

Our neighborhoods, even the best and the worst of them, can vary greatly from street to street.

I have a few short term rentals, and they are incredibly popular.

This property will be rented out to college students being that it is on the same street as the university. 

My situation may be a little more complicated than a regular rehab because I am hoping to enlarge the width footprint of the back of the house toward an existing 3’ wide walkway/alley that provides rear access to the houses perpendicular to me on the cross street.    

Definitely need to know the area though, you can cross a street and be looking at extremely different values and levels of safety.

I understand the need for not trying to put someone out on the street, especially at this crazy time and in some states, it is not even allowed at this point but at the end of the day it is business, not personal.
