Normally the above would steer most people clear of real estate investing and develop the perspective that ALL investors are just cheap-bastards looking to make a buck, but I more-so developed the mindset that "hey, if I can take down a slumlord like this and teach him a lesson maybe I can prove that there is a proper and dignified way to invest".

I owner-financed the house to the buyer (who now lives there and, from what I understand, is clearly the legal owner in light of our land sales contract), but my name is still on many of the public records as I have the deed (our contract allows me to hold on to it until buyer makes final loan payment) and still pay my old mortgage on the home (I make a few hundred bucks per month cash flow).

I still have my old mortgage on the home as is often the case with seller-financing situations (we make a few hundred bucks in cash flow per month, which is one of the perks of seller-financing).

(assuming I Schedule E this property for the 3-4 months it's a rental)3) is this all too much headache and is the $800 bucks a month income not worth the blip/headache to my Schedule E portfolio even though taxes, interest etc could be a write off for those months?
