Also your local building department might have something to say about the matter.

Majority of what  I heard above were excuses why no interior pics.  

Low property tax rate- friendly landlord laws- and steady job and population growth around the major cities.

This gives them a major tax problem if they sell for cash.

That is a major reason many wannabe investors make bad deals.Never make any business decision based on feelings, money has no feelings and should be the only consideration.

Not major difference from Austin, as both markets are hot.

Im a newby, but it seems quite difficult to find the 1% property in the city of Houston without having todo major repairs (I dont have those connections yet).

I am 22 and I am currently a senior at Texas A&M University majoring in construction science.
