For the last several years, the Fed has put all the kings horses and all the kings men to the task of putting our humpty dumpty economy back together again ... try as they might, they can't seem to create moderate inflation like they want, and that was in "good" economic times.

My motive is simple enough; my wife and I want to break out of the rat race... not be tenants in an apartment, begin to build wealth beyond our regular job paychecks, have our money working for us, and be able to support a future family.I really believe the house hacking method is the way for us to start that.  

You'll often have to haul garbage out of these properties, but hey, buy real estate at low cost is always your gain and someone else's loss and that almost always means you're dealing in human misery.Starting with a flip and going from there to buying rental properties is often putting the cart before the horse.
