Hello! I'm Kim and along with my husband Jeremy, we're just getting started with real estate investing in Lynchburg VA. We just bought a single family home, which we are planning to renovate and then refinance (BRRR strategy...hope we do it right!) so we can purchase more properties. When our kids were younger, we spent a year and a half living in an RV traveling the country, and now we'd like to take them to travel the world! Of course that requires a little more income that's less dependent on location and particular time zones, which hopefully real estate investing can provide for us.

Other than learning about real estate investing, I spend my time homeschooling our kids (ages 10 and 8) and running trail races, everything from 50K to 100 miles. I figure real estate investing will be a lot like planning for a long race-doing as much research ahead of time as I can, finding a community people to train alongside (especially those who are better than me at this), planning a response in advance for various things that can go wrong so they don't force me to drop out, and most importantly, showing up at the starting line and taking the first step, knowing that it probably won't go perfectly, but if I keep a positive attitude, I'll eventually cross that finish line and have a great time getting there.

I've been listening to the podcast since last fall and am so grateful for the wealth of information I have gleaned from the podcast and from being a lurker in the forums. Glad to finally complete my profile and start participating in the discussions. Thanks for having me here!
