We are hoping to build our knowledge and confidence so that we can snag our first rental in the next few months, and ramp that up for long term wealth building and eventual retirement (I really don't want to be coding at 70!).

We have relocated from a city closer to my wife's work and we travel a lot ( 5 months and a half last year ) .

When you show a property, explain how noise travels and the importance of respecting the neighbors, particularly during quiet hours.

Before I consider investing in their projects, I am looking forward to making my own investment to build experience, gain confidence and learn the way to do it, so I can repeat the process… So, I guess, that only because my thoughts for real state changed, I will give these guys the benefit of the doubt… Thanks again Mike for sharing your thoughts with me, this is awesome!

@Ryan Brown if you aren’t 100% confident in your agent’s response, spend a few bucks and ask a real estate attorney to review it and explain it.

And as of December 3rd, 2021 I have closed on two deals, own a lot to develop and have raised $100,000 of investor money, and feel very happy and confident on the path I am going.My first deal was two houses undergoing rehab right now, bought as a package deal for $285K, and $260K rehab on a hard money loan, both will be flips, and the ARV is at around $800,000 (+/- $20,000).

@Michael Noto @Ilgaz Arikan, What I will say though however, is that I do have a couple colleagues that specifically have STR around New Haven targeting travel nurses and transplant patients, and college areas.

People you know and trust could save you some travel time, and give good insights on properties you're considering.I wish you the best of luck on this, and trust that others here on BP will provide you with some additional help.

These tools aren't aimed specifically at driving for dollars but I think they would be really useful for viewing locations and areas before travelling there.
