The median home price in this town is a ridiculous $550k+, and the town over has a median of $850k (which we are avoiding even looking at right now).We want to continue having the option of early retirement or if life takes an unexpected turn we are still covered.

I have roughly familiar with them but will explore each of these scenarios with a bit of study and see which one is frankly the easiest to do, while also being the easiest to explain.On second read, I also really like the land contract idea as that seems pretty close to what I had in mind since she owns the property outright.
