These surrounding apartment complexes are relatively new and quite expensive.I was wondering if anyone has experience in buying a condo association and turning it back into an apartment complex or even cleaning it up.

Yeah, the bill I get is for electricity and water for the building the washers and dryers are located in. 

Or is it better to just rely on a good handyman or repair person on staff/retainer/rolodex.As @Joe Splitrock said, I have found that the adage of "they don't make them like they used to" seems to apply to most mechanical and electrical devices these days.

I may even use it as a vacation home later on when I fully retire.These properties are dirt cheap, many under 100k for a nice, clean 2 BR/2BA on a spacious lot, some even with a little acreage.

Or buying some of these lots with around a $250 investment then cleaning it up/tearing down whats there and reselling the property.What are your thoughts on this process to get started.

The other apartments are clean with no evidence of mice activity.

So i have to wholesale properties that are turn key and need nothing more than maybe a good clean out or paint job for between 20-30k.

We did a fast walk through yesterday and I missed a few things (checking the condition of the electrical box).

Auto shops just need a deep cleaning.

He moved out before the eviction was completed, so his record probably still looks pretty clean.
