The issue is they may try to trash the place if you have them vacate - depending on how much of a renovation you were planning to do that may cause more issues for you.

On the other hand, if it's only happening in one spot under a missing piece of gutter (for example), then it was probably just an ice lens that caused it.

There was a ton of mold issues as well and since the house was well known to the town inspectors they extremely vigilant on the work we were doing causing some delays.
