Me & a buddy of mine have been talking about buying a house for low, putting some $$$ into it & then try to resale for a profit.

First off, it's great that you're ambitious but don't bite off more that you can chew.You need experience a track record along with history.... think about it if you had a buddy suddenly come to you and proposed a great business idea without a real business plan and suddenly just asked for a grand would you loan it to him just cause?
