Lets break it down this way.it is not ethical for a broker to write a loan for a borrower with one lender and locking it, then have the broker submit the package to another lender and locking it because rates drop.so with that said, no i don’t think it’s right for the borrower to do so even if there is a substantial difference.

The owner made two payments since origination in 2007.the LTV at the time was less than 40% I think so from the beginning there was substantial equity.
