and be dead certain what your buying is a good property and and not a problemI only relate that because I can't tell you how many AUSSIES I have talked to who thought it was a great idea to borrow on their homes in AU.. then buy rentals in the war zones of the US not knowing how dangerous and what a absolute terrible investment they were.. many of these folks lost it all.. and not just a few but thousands of them..

Shaun,I'm also from the SE Wisconsin area.If you are a first time buyer, Wisconsin has some great programs available for home purchases.If my understanding is accurate (and hopefully someone else from BP can back me up) it's possible to buy a duplex/multifamily building (4 units or fewer) that you plan to live in under the same terms as a single family home.
