I need to know what requirements we would need to build and run an assisted living community including: -Licensing requirements-building requirements-What grants, perks, waivers can be absorbed-facility requirements-state/federal requirements-safety issues/requirements-permit requirementsAnd anything else that would be geared toward an assisted living facility.Where can I find this info out?

According to the press release, "The policy change will permit buyers to use FHA-insured financing to purchase HUD-owned properties, bank-owned properties, or properties resold through private sales.

If it is a service change and they dont need to fish new wires, you should be at about +/- 1000/unit with a permit.

Your local area and permitting authority will make a difference here.

What permits are needed, or does is the property already on a rental program?

@Quang NguyenSorry to burst your bubble but to my knowledge, you are not permitted to use your RRSP as a down payment if you are purchasing it as an investment property.  

I don't plan to pull any sort of ridiculous permits for e.g. sink replacement or new paint. if they catch me I will pay stop work fee and move on. i will definitely pull permits for outside work - roof, tuck pointing, windows.  

- Budget- Permits- Foundation- Demolition- Framing - Windows and Doors- Roofing- Exterior Siding- HVAC Rough-In- Plumbing Rough-In- Electrical Rough-In- Structured Wiring Rough-In (Internet, Ethernet, Coax, Speakers, etc)- Insulation Batts- Framing Punchout (misc framing needed to account previous trades cutting holes and maybe needing soffits due to hvac or plumbing)- Drywall (Hang, Tape, Skim, and Sand)- Insulation Blow-In (if needed)- Trim (Base, Case, Crown, Kitchen Cabinets, Vanities, Etc)- 1st Paint- Granite Templating- Ceramics / Tile- Vinyl- HVAC Final- Electrical Final- Hardwood Flooring- Plumbing Final- Structured Wiring Final- Install Granite- First Clean (clean up all bathrooms and kitchens)- Drywall Point Up (takes care of all over cuts or mis-cuts from above contractors)- 2nd Paint- Carpet- Drywall Blue Tape- Paint Touch Up- Final Clean (remove hardwood floor coverings and plastic on the carpets)- Punchout (your guy to do the grout caulking, door adjusting, fine tuning)

Always have contracts, always make sure your contractors are insured, pull permits when necessary, etc.
