You just don't have easy online or convenient access.First, I'd get the principal in a mindset of 'salvaging' something and pushing all risk and time into her side of the transaction.Then, you can schlep down to the courthouse or send a courier or attorney service and get copies of original file, or at least the critical Order.

I was able to get a Federal Tax ID online and then opened bank accounts/credit cards in the name of the consulting business, all off of my personal credit report (although I remain responsible for them, it helps to have some debts/credit cards off your personal credit report).

I do not think so, in most states the attorney has to keep them on file as a backup anyway.I meet with my attorney last week, she stated even she shreds all papers immediately and has all her files online.
