The Chinese have lots of methods to cause problems. 

I am mostly concerned about a visually respectable way to show the division in the two lots.

I just finished listening to @Jay Hinrichs BP podcast and liked his method of being a Capitol Partner. 

However, I will be investing in multi-families soon and would like to apply this same accounting method for the properties as well.

Luckily it was caught, added onto the HUD-1 and I was left with no obligation to it.I've done several Multi family transactions prior to this without the aid of an attorney and was never made aware of this concern.
