My only reason for wanting a short sale is that I just don't want to own this home anymore, and am willing to take the loss (i'm upside down on a condo by roughly $26.5k.The two main things that I'm wondering are- will the bank even allow a short sale in this 'no hardship' condition, and if so- can I do it without any negative impact to my credit whatsoever (credit is good now and we're looking to get a larger place for a growing family).

I think most people think of low income housing "projects" is a public housing project where in many cities, have become slum areas with high crime rates and those certainly have an impact on nearby home values.

If you're meeting with a selling agent who will be putting together your offer and submitting it to the listing agent(s), then there is no reason why that agent should have any impact over whether you get the deal or another investor gets the deal.

First, there is a stickey in the Off Topic section; Political Discussions On BP, where Josh has outline the rules concerning political discussions, so let's take care to follow them.In our new political environment I'm getting concerned about how the real estate industry might change due to political influences and any good business person must give consideration to government oversight and how regulatory changes might impact any business plan.This is not about any one official, (President) but rather the philosphy of the two major parties, the Democrats and the Republicans and their agendas and how,if their respective agendas become reality, could change the way you do business.What is the likelyhood that either party will control the House and Senate and take the Whitehouse?
