Your personal views toward "family" relationships have no place in renting, but if there is a valid reason, such as credit, poor rental history or criminal records you may have a basis for denial.

I totally 2nd the recommendation for RHAWA.On criteria,  be aware Seattle has a ban on screening for criminal history for rental applications.

They tried to claim it's a civil issue though when I asked them if my neighbor breaks into my house is that a civil issue too just because he's my neighbor, they quickly changed their tune...Not to mention I consulted with an attorney at the time who said it was a criminal trespass issue since it's not a boundary dispute, which I informed them of.

In the past I got offers that were even offensive in which I would be selling at a lost.
