Could a parent buy a home for their adult child (who could not afford it on their own) to live in and get the same 5% down/owner occupied financing rates?

The last thing I want is for my problem child tenant to get away clean and move into your unit.

That being said, our third (last) and youngest child is now going to pre-school in  a few months.  

I don't mind renting to an extended family that includes two married, four children, two grandparents, and maybe another grown child or two. 

The wife (who looks like she is expecting another child quite soon) asked what we were inspecting as there was a whole list of things.

The accused is a late twenties couple with a small child.

You see 2 adults get out of the car along with their 3 children.One adult is smoking a cigarette and the two children are eating chips and one child is drinking red pop.What do you do when you see them coming up on the porch?

You'd be wondering, well then who is going to end up using it, and will they be traipsing through my yard or peeking into my windows, and will my child be safe...or do they grow pot in there...Really, just make it easy on yourself and include it in the rent. 

They likely could have probation issues, child support, etc. that if they do not comply will put them back in the slammer.

 :)Another reason...if I were a single parent, with a smallish child, it would be great to have even a small, secure outdoor space my child could go out into, without me having to have eyes on them every second.Both of those things are reason enough for me to forgo an apartment.
