For people making $100 an hour hiring contractors is better but for most folks starting being able to do some painting etc can pay pretty well.  

Lots of knowledgeable folks on here, and lots of free education to be had from BP as well.

I myself am on episode 101 currently, so I'll be caught up within the next month or so :-) Yeah I am super stoked to get the ball rolling and I wanted to shout out to the folks that help inspire newbie real estate investors like myself to get off the procrastination couch and just DO IT!

Hello @Angela Jossy  I really want to agree @Troy Fisher This website and the podcasts and the meetups at the RAM restaurant here in Lakewood to talk face to face with folk doing just what you plan to do costs NOTHING.

You might find it a good place locally to meet like minded folks in this space. 

Some folks love them and I know a lot that have left them.

In general the site is filled with pretty independent folks that dislike others controlling their capital formation process and thus my prediction is that technology will largely allow active operator/sponsors to bypass the intermediaries in time.  

I hate folks take advantage of ppl and abhor being taking advantage of myself.Yea, I am sensitive to labor intensive jobs, we age and we don't even notice.
