New flipper from Seattle, WA

Hello everyone my name is Alex  married for 8 years with a brand new daughter. I work as a full-time firefighter and spend my off time hiking and enjoying the outdoors.

I am new to real estate investing and have come here to seek the fountain of knowledge that i hear BP is. I am strongly motivated in starting out my REI by purchasing distressed homes, rehabbing and selling (fix and flip?).

Some of the things i bring to the table are a strong knowledge of building construction as well as remodeling projects. I have done plumbing projects from small things like installing a dishwasher to ripping out the entire setup and rebuilding from scratch. I have a great flooring and carpentry contractor that i often help and have stole quite a bit of his trade. Some of the other projects i have tackled include: roofing repair, gutter replacement, deck building, window replacement, drywall refinishing, electrical work, hardwood flooring, wall and floor tile and cabinet refinishing.

Some personal skills include problem solving, organizing, being a task oriented person and a stickler for schedules. I love to-do lists and metrics. I love to learn and research everything and maybe sometimes too much.

At this point in time we have taken out some cash out of our home and plan on using it to start this adventure. We have a local real-estate agent that we are working with but ideally i think we need to find our first flip off-market. We are both

I will end this saying that my composition skills are very lacking when it comes to writing things and that my ideas are not always a fluid statement, for that i apologize and ask you all to bear with me as i gimp along.
