@Katharine Richards - the good news is Milwaukee has a huge inventory of duplexes in all kinds of price ranges; you can get something decent in the low 200's, if you care about the school district you will be more in the 250 to 300 range, or if you want to be on the East sie close to the lake you are looking in the 300's and up.
