@Steven Wilson I have heard about 2 schools of thought regarding college rentals. 

It's a good rental income generator, but since school is all online right now, we only have it partially rented.

The guy turned out to be 100% just old school... 2B worth company, no site, no social, nothing.

Should I listen to my parents and find a place in a good school district for resale value?

The schools are also generally pretty good out here. 

You can then have them cover some of their own expenses (school supplies, clothing, etc.) from their salary, using money that was taxed at a lower rate.This is all just off the top of my head, of course. 

I am originally from Riverside County in California, but ended up going to school at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

School walkable distance in one of the best school districts.

I've researched and narrowed down the schools, but if anyone has knowledge on which one might be more worthwhile, I'd love to know!
