If I’m trying to wholesale a property that is represented by a listing agent and they ask for proof of funds what do I do?

I was a licensed real estate agent (REALTOR) with Keller Williams and EXP Realty and did very well in NC, but not licensed at this moment in SC (I represented myself on my own deal as well - which took 5 months of haggling for a land developer deal).

In my experience the best thing to do is contact the underwriter the agent is purportedly representing, they will be able to confirm or deny the agent's standing and make sure you are dealing with the actual agent.
