As landlords, we have to deal with rent controls etc. so layering on more doesn't sit well with me.

Should I buy the 8 x 2bd condos in different buildings, or as a one 8-condo complex to have more control on HOA? 

Should it be multiple LLCs with one parent company?

I currently live with my parents as I finish up graduate school.

My parents house has an in-law suite and they've suggested we move in with them for a year or so and rent out our house.
