I’m having a difficult day (few days) and am hoping to hear some words of encouragement from the community that will help convince me that real estate investing is a good idea.

Now you're partners with a spouse who may not want the investment or can't hold up their end of the agreement?

@Mark Peeples it's buy and hold and rent out to tenants as a mid-term rental unit.

Many people have had bad terrible experiences in the past, and with the direction Airbnb is going I don't think its a great idea to rely on them. 

I love the idea of being able to provide a nice home that lower-income renters can be truly proud of, and as a result (hopefully) will take care of the place.

It's a great idea in the low debt, moderate supply world.

I have found it hard enough to get 1 line of credit, let alone 2 on the same business. 2nd line would need to satisfy the 1st for the lender to give it to me.Thanks for the ideas on equity partner - will be the path that looks most promising!

Passive Investment - Buying and holding performing notes for interest income and or investing in debt fund/partials ownership Active Investment - Buying non performing notes to either modify to reperformimg or foreclose for real estate ownership; “working” the notes in your portfolio; or “creating” high yielding investments through various meansNote BUSINESS - Running a note fund; syndicating notes, buying and selling notes, creating partials, brokering notes, etc. 

I don’t ever think that investing in real estate is a bad idea, especially if you can start with it being your primary residence.If you can keep up with the monthly payment, you would be looking at both mortgage pay down and appreciation within 3 to 5 years.

I come up with the idea of documenting my actions here, one is to hold myself accountable, and two I want to see where I'll go from here (a lot of people now days do that on social media, like instagram, youtube...etc.
