Jeff Exline Hiring our VS in house property management
17 June 2017 | 14 replies
From my understanding there are two property management companies in the area and this one came as a recommendation.I guess ultimately I am displeased with the service of my current PM, I only have two other options: (1) the other PM (2) start my own PM.I think I can develop a team in the area and I know enough real estate investors to make it lucrative but may be adding more to my plate instead of taking some off.My objective is to take some work off my plate with keeping the costs either fixed or better. My initial thought was to hire someone to do all my petty tasks and give them an opportunity to learn about the PM side of things and get their feet wet in the real estate market (resume builder) - someone fresh out of college that is hungry to learn.

They are very wealthy financially but lack in other key areas of their lives.I would rather have 50 million 30 years from now in my 70's and have a balanced and fulfilled  life in all phases then look back and say I have 100 million now but I overworked myself all of those years. So I have a plan and year over year want to reach higher goals but sometimes I say no to things to spend time with my  family, exercise, and just get out into the fresh air and feel one with nature again.Balance is the key.

You probably don't even need to mention that you already know about his background.Or kick everyone out, do some renovation and start fresh with screening new tenants....If you apply the criteria to everyone in the units, and terminate the ones that don't meet it, you are coveredNo way would I go to Tammy and say "hey I know Howard is in jail waiting on his murder trial, lets talk about how you will be paying rent".....NOPE.....

Some end up here in the tech sector, and they put the bravest face on it they can, but the ones that are here often want out and are looking for every opportunity to get out.My brother came here in the late 90s to attend CMU and he passed on the same hopeful stories back then - Pittsburgh is changing, Pittsburgh is reinventing itself, Pittsburgh is become new and fresh and different, Pittsburgh will become a tech hub...I've heard over twenty years of broken promises like that, and so I'm not putting any money on the explosive potential of the tech industry to change everything in the region overnight.
