Not specific to real estate but since all RE is local I personally think it's more important to try to get a reading on economic issues as a whole instead of drilling down too deep into one component.

Jim is very active on bigger pockets and he has a community of people dedicated to performing due diligence on passive commercial real estate investments.If you really want to dig deep, and I can see that you do, you should get @Brian Burke's amazing book on due diligence called The Hands Off Investor.

Perhaps a good hybrid would be showing only to people who have applied or even more deep processed and approved applicants , anyone doing this?

It wasn't a hard deep inspection just no serious hazards, electrical outlets work, is the unit energy efficient etc.

They will play out this narrative for the next year (And the media will LOVE pushing stories to manipulate our fear, worry, and attention) This recession could be the next BIG Concern so our attention is focused on this and not trying to make the world a better place -sorry too deep here:(- In any event, I believe this is the BEST time to be pushing projects if you have the capital to weather a few bit of a slowdown.
