@Derek Bell not sure what the use or the intricacies of the development are, but I tend to agree with what's been said here that owning the land free and clear is a better move than a small loan at a low rate.

Though the insurance company agreed to pay him, they have not yet sent out the reimbursement, and the claim is still open today.The current insurance company can't review the borrower's application because the claim is still open.

Agreed with Andrew, it really depends how the MTR is set up and what relationships (with insurance relocators for example) the owner has.

The seller already agreed to $16k so I strategically negotiated the seller to pay the overage directly to the buyer after closing so it did not affect the deal and the buyer still got their money!
