Hey @Kevin Yun, It's my understanding that for any building four units or less, the registered host has to live in the building as a primary residence and can only Airbnb one's own unit and one other.

You don't need to have their permission - but you need to give notice (usually 48 to 72 hours in advance) for a host of reasons including a required/needed repair.
