@Matt Souza, theres an additional advantage to holding properties as tenants in common from the strategic perspective of the 1031.

At least you won't have a language problem...My suggestion is to formulate your strategy - are you looking for cash flow or appreciation, or a mix?

Hey Account ClosedSounds like you've really spent some time formulating the first few steps of your master plan.The one thing I would recommend is that you speak with a lender who has some experience funding loans for 2-4 unit properties. 

Sounds like a strategic STR purchase if the noise was a factor in getting a discounted purchase price.
