If you used a standard real estate form it likely says that the taxes will be prorated and that means that escrow will split the taxes and the seller pays for past and you pay for future.So, say your taxing authority collects taxes for  July 1 through June 30 of the following year.

The thing to determine is whether or not the daughter is the Executor, (or Personal Representative), maybe one of many heirs.....When a property is in Probate, the executor of the estate is the one who has the legal authority to sell the property.

If no other terms, you need to get authorization from a probate court to remove all contents from the unit.You likely have a duty to protect the property.
