I ripped out the 2 inch thick, metal lath/concrete/pink tile walls (that apparently were really popular in this area) so I am going to have to retile the entire shower already anyway.

If you are that worried about not receiving the rent amount from section 8 for a few months while the process gets going, then you don't have a sufficient amount of money held in reserves to begin with, and/or should have done more research about the pros and cons of section 8 prior to signing ANY paperwork with them.

I also don't really want it to be an outside dog, they tend to be more aggressive and I am more worried about being held liable for a dog attacking someone than damaging property.
