Hello,

My name is George and I'm 16. I have been putting a lot of emphasis on my future and have formulated a plan as to what I am intending to do. As of right now my plan is to have multiple streams of income coming in from business, then use the equity I make from business to leverage down payments on multi-family properties, and the preliminary revenue I make from the investments to invest further and scale my way up. I am also planning on getting my real estate license as soon as I turn 18, solely for the education and access to the MLS. If anyone has any recommendations as the how to initially get involved with real estate, or (knowing what you do now) what you would have done from a young age to achieve the level of success you have right now, I would appreciate it very much, and would greatly benefit from advice.

Regards,

George

Personally, I would forego the Real Estate License.  No offense, but most adults will not put much faith in an 18 year old real estate agent.  It is what it is.  I also don't think you want to be a real estate agent as a profession.  I don't see how it helps you in the short run and would argue that it would take away from your actual goal.  There is zero reason why you cannot get houses now.  You may need some parental involvement for the legalities, but you could easily do a subject to deal or an owner finance deal.  At 16, you have tons of energy and lots of time without all the responsibilities so driving for dollars should be something you can do.
