Brokers who sell mortgages for private lending companies throughout the country are restricted from CA, MN, AZ, NV and OR.

@Jonathan Greene I would be very, very cautious about using cross collateralization.

I wanted to post on this as I have seen it happen recently in various areas of the country. 

There is simply too much to learn about investing, too many easy but costly mistakes to make, to consider investing halfway across the country while learning the ins and outs.

I have zero specific knowledge of this other than knowing someone who has a house with a video game addiction program out in the country where no one knows and no one cares....but my gut says you would have zero chance of doing this with a townhome lease because on top of every state, county, city and ward issue you will need to navigate, you have the homeowners association and very close neighbors who will raise holy hell.

Take sanity out of it and we have a desperate attempt to keep the country afloat. 

Monitor the situation, but until such time that they break their lease or break the law, there is no court in the country that will let you evict them.
