Replaced all old carpets with wood flooring, replaced the vinyl in bathrooms with ceramic tile and updated the faucets; repainted entire unit; replace all kitchen appliances which were very old and rusted.

For example, the manager will walk in to do an inspection and discover the walls have been painted various bright, bold colors and it was done poorly so there is paint on the carpet, hardwood floors, door and window trim, and stray marks on the ceiling.

In one of my places I do not allow pets (a fair amount of carpet and a newer home) but in the other one I do allow small animals (hard flooring throughout).
