VA can do multifamily as long as you are living there as well, but there are some other restrictions.

So at this point I started being much more persistent about asking for updates and I did start to get some from Scott's assistant.

I live in Jacksonville, Florida, and know that there are several areas that investors are looking to develop, specifically the Springfield/Phoenix area. 

I live in Pensacola and manage my own rentals here, I don't want to manage a property remotely though.  

Also have a niche market that I am targeting,  However, because I live in Long Beach, CA, I am very interested in developing relationships with other real estate investors, agents, brokers, and lenders in the area.

I have been reading about the costs to build a duplex and begin renting, but thought my situation was a bit unique and so I decided to make my own post.A few years ago we inherited a house and land in town close to a local graduate school for physical therapy, occupational therapy, physicians assistant, etc. 

-i think a great way to get started in real estate is a house hack or a live-in flip. 

We bought a four-plex, lived in one unit and rented the other three.

But I also have 100k I can put 20%-25% down on investment properties I would not live in.
