I also run investor retreats out of them.Currently Costa Rica does not have an added short-term rental tax.

I do this with my place, 3br but 1 is an office with some free weights yoga mat and it does really well.

I'm thinking used Peloton ($1500), nice tread mill,  a bench, full set of dumbbells, some kettle bells, yoga mats, jump rope, exercise ball, punching bag, etc. 

One of the things that I will be doing to help pay my $45,000 loan payment a year is hosting investor masterminds and investor retreats where we pair learning about real estate with exploring Costa Rica and doing some awesome excursion.

I'm happy to share more information.Our Airbnbs are mid/upscale and target parents of LSU students, professionals, and (mostly responsible) groups for events (weddings/reunions/retreats).

So in essence every one buying a new construction home from any builder is paying 10 to 20% more than it cost to replace it or what they may be able to get it built for if they did it themselves.. so everyone is over paying :)   Anytime you buy a completely refurbed or remolded or new construction there is always a profit unless of course the builder had over runs or market retreated sometimes builders and rehabbers lose money.  

So my question is, would it make sense to buy the land (if we plan on living on it and turning it into a couples retreat rental but not for 5 years or so) or would it make more sense to buy another multi family?
