You would not be able to change anything in the books for the time period prior to the date that you used for the end period of that accountant'so copy (without manually unlocking things and then running the risk of creating conflicting changes).

Putting the tenants personal safety concerns aside, those French doors are just too easy to break into and unlock the door, especially if you've got one on the side door, where it may be less visible from the street.I'd never have a tenant in an urban neighborhood with a french style doors for entry.

The current owner lives out of state so he can't come and unlock the door himself.My concern is that of course, an end buyer will want to inspect the top unit before he/she commits to buy and I would think its a deal breaker if the tenant is uncooperative?

Immediately before his disappearance, the above-mentioned appliance removal occurred at my colleague’s property, and mine was broken into shortly after with no signs of forced entry, with the exception of the loss of about $3,000 worth of flooring and other materials, and the door being unlocked and ajar.
