How do you approach addressing comments that appear to be rooted in jealousy?

Unless clog was caused by tree roots or deterioration of the pipes.  

They are super cheap (20 bucks) topic-specific and put on by locals who you can connect with....I am attracted to the more grass roots, DIY kind of ethic. 

Agents seem to know people, that know people and they root out the deals that are not listed, or listed locally and not nationally.
