My first property was an alligator by my standards today, because it ate me alive.It was a very small SFH (2 BR, 1BA) that I bought for $55K in 1983, lived in it for two years (single at the time), then rented it out for two years before I sold it (90K) to buy a house with my wife.I rented it for $600 which barely covered the mortgage, let alone anything else.

I thought it was cool, but I'm the mom who took my middle-school kids to stay in a travellers' hostel in Mexico and ate from the food trucks . . .  

We ate well and shopped at Whole Foods.

I rarely splurged on any frivolous purchases, I never ate out or drink when my friends would invite me out, and made sure to have a strict budget where I eventually saved 50% of my income.

I came to Birmingham 2 days ago for work and I won't lie, I ate my words, anything negative I had previously said about Birmingham, I take it all back!

Looking a ted confused the clerk asked me “where was my office located.”

Give them another lease to sign and return, maybe the dog ate it..Tell them that once it is signed, dated, and returned by XXX date you will counter sign and return copy to them.. don't pre-sign anything !!!

I got a weekend job (that thankfully pays really well) and for a couple months I ate dirt and worked on getting my real estate license.
