Where's this discrepancy coming from?  

The discrepancy in two instances was over $40,000 on the exact same property less than 30 days apart.To be fair, it is the environment we are in.  

Also you should send a denial letter that specifies the reason for denial such as "unverifiable information" with regard to the income discrepancy.

When a discrepancy came up, I required the current landlord and the tenant to figure it out and give my their signature on the agreement.
