However, two council members were pushing to impose a cap on the number of STR permits issued in the city and earlier had been pushing to shut all STR's down that weren't owner occupied - similar to Denver's regulation. 

If your income is between $100k and $150k - then the window for the $25k loss gets slowly squeezed out until completely shut at $150k and above.

@Philip Olivier  The city shutting off the power was when they started enforcing the new rules for short term rentals 2 years ago or so ago. 

I also don't give money to women street beggars with babies that may or may not have been given alcohol or heroin to shut up and sleep quietly for hours in the cold and the wet on their laps.

A lot of folks that were doing it for years have been shut down as the city enforces the rules firmly.

But the experience from some of these people is worth a hell of a lot and to just ignore it because youre locked Int a faIlIng strategy just seems silly.If you want to repeat this in a new market and repeat getting shut down by the city a few years later it’s no sweat off any of our backs... expect yours.
