Well, new wife has been using ITIN to establish credit including Chase and BoA bank accounts and even unsecured credit lines (credit cards) of both $2800 and $1500.

The goddamn banks these day are so set up to not talk to you, I tried valiantly to get through by phone today to the people who deal with this at Chase & BOA, but the phones are set up that if you are not a current customer they hang up.  

You are unlikely to go to the big banks like a Chase or BOA and get a LOC like this. 

It's basically prepaid PMI and because its VA its "qualified".BoA charges a flat $2500 for closing costs and VA wont pay title policy so don't bother asking.The quality of the properties seems to be much better than the average foreclosure in my area.

They" are going to be portfolio loan officers in small or regional banks, not Wells or BoA as bigger banks are too bureaucratic, they simply go by the book.

BOA is awesome for this kind of stuff.

The 95% LTV with SDFCU should.The current HELOC gets paid via 'bill pay' from our BOA account.

The nice thing about smaller lenders or banks is that they can do unique loans much easier whereas someone from BOA or Rocket, would not even be allowed to look at the deal.

I would prefer an interest bearing account and have a bad taste in my mouth for Wells, BOA, and US bank.Cheers

2) When doing business bank account would you go with a big bank (chase, boa etc), online bank only (axos, azlos,etc) or local credit union?
