What is the market and investing atmosphere like in Canada?

The fresh paint and pool heat provided a more inviting atmosphere and the short term rental setup allowed for more flexibility for renters.

I attended once a real estate course in cashflow college, but it was purely theoretical and did not push for action (I guess I wasn't ready).Obviously I've heard of both Rafi Mizrahi and Robert Shemin and even considered doing their course, but I wanted first to checkout the atmosphere and first understand if I'm made of the right materials.Any recommendation @Isaac Geller ?

Great food, good atmosphere and completely safe feeling as well. 

So from my experience getting in and talking with the residents about how they feel or what they think is a good way to understand the nature and atmosphere of any place where one might want to invest.

Currently, the atmosphere here is short term rental friendly.

The FL market has gotten expensive, and with the current high rate atmosphere you want to make sure the property will cashflow especially if you're needing to use a DSCR loan.
