Im currently in the marine corps and am thinking of purchasing a fix and flip off base with two other marines.

Start dialing for dollars, banks with regional footprints (Alameda and Marin Counties in this example case) seem to have the most unusual HELOC offerings, find the equivalent in your area. 

Like every good Marine, I have a TSP.

At the end of this year my term with the Marine Corps will come to an end and that is where I wanted to start my investing journey.

I helped a 26 yr old active duty marine close on a triplex near downtown yesterday, he is on BP but I can’t seem to tag him.  

I spent around 16 years off and on in San Diego as a Navy Corpsman with Marines, Team guys and eventually on ship, 6 years in Washington, DC as a Respiratory Therapist and about 4 months or so in San Antonio, Tx for training - good times!

To give you an idea on LTRs, our rents are from about $900-$1200 and our tenants are in these lines of work: 1. high school coach (single), 2. big box store assistant manager, 3. retired marine corps vet, 4. mechanical engineer at local glass company.
