@Robert EyersI have lived and invested in the Bay Area for north of 20 years so I cannot relate to financial benefits of moving to Austin but I recall as a youngster just starting out l did evaluate a move Dallas because it was a lot cheaper to live there.

As Rich mentioned, some exceptions might be made, ya gotta have some youngsters to keep active and the blood boiling ya know....:)I'm sure there may be some demographics where the markey is soft for enough prospects to fill a complex and that may influence lowering the age requirement.

It took a lot of good timing (Y2K), good connections, luck, and hard work to parlay those degrees into a lucrative line of work.The one thing I will say - college degrees are practically necessary for a youngster to get an interview at bigger companies.
